Where did you get that idea from? I simply noted it's common. You made up the rest up in your head.
This is your schtick. You beat all around the bush, and then when asked about the fricking bush you act like it's not even there.

You can't even have a straight up and honest discussion, can you? Do you want to normalize the practice of using force to break up protests?

They hate Trump more than they love our country!

This truly proves they do NOT care about you or me!

No I didn't. I made a simple declarative sentence. Seven words long.

then when asked about the fricking bush you act like it's not even there.
Making up arguments... that no one made is your schtick.

Nope. Not against your imagination.

Please quote what makes you think I'm advocating for that?

Next time a president, any president, comes to your town, you should place yourself in the path of the motorcade. Just a peaceful protest, you calmly blocking the road. Let me know if they change their route or if they use force to remove you.
I would expect to be swiftly arrested. I would not expect to be gassed and shot at.

If there are too many to arrest, then a decision has to be made. Do you proceed as planned by doing the exact thing that the people are protesting against, or do you go to a backup plan? Was there even a backup plan, or was the intent always to assert their will over the people and "dominate the streets"?

A sentence that equated being arrested for not paying taxes to being assaulted for protesting.

Nope.
Didn't think so.

More of your schtick. Why can't you just answer the question? Because that's what makes me think you're advocating for that. You won't say that you're not.

Was that unclear to you in anyway? You accused me of being deceptive. Nothing of the sort happened.

Nope.

Dishonest. You cut off the quote.

WHy can't you provide the quote? I've never uttered a peep about normalizing violence as a good thing. Never advocated for that in any way. There's no basis for even posing the question -- except for the argument you're hoping I'd make.

quote:

Because that's what makes me think you're advocating for that.
you have a vivid imagination. And made up an argument for me, just so you could argue against it. There's a word for that.

So just say that you are opposed to gassing and shooting protesters, that you do not condone what happened before/during Trump's speech, and let's move on.

A non-violent crowd was dispersed with tear gas and rubber bullets in DC while the president was giving a speech claiming to support non-violent protesters. You can't antagonize people into fighting back and maintain the moral high ground. That's bull shite.

The ones that were warned for 20 minutes to leave?

A decision was made. You admit that using force to clear a path for the president is normal. What was your complaint again?

Go ahead and welcome this new normal where "peace" is not natural but demanded with force.

Just remember where the frick you stood when you finally realize that you welcomed fascism to the US with open arms.

Is that how long we have before our government resorts to assaulting citizens?

I do not. Do you?

Anyway, I will take it that you are mostly a decent human being, and that you would, if you had to, condemn the actions taken by the president's security crew tonight.

My complaint is that far too many people around here apparently think there is only one level of "force". Arresting someone is the same as gassing and shooting. It doesn't matter if you are protesting or if you're skipping taxes. Crime is crime, force is force.

It makes sense, I guess. We are here because of the use of excessive force, might as well go all the way with it.
