What is there to negotiate?

No, we’re not divesting anything. You are a student here at our pleasure. If you don’t like our investment portfolio, kindly frick off to somewhere else.

If you are not a student, you are trespassing. Get off our property, or be be charged with trespassing

If you are protesting, fine, protest. But, you will not harass anyone. You are not excused from any requirements of your classes. If you disrupt classes or other functions on the school property, you will be asked to leave. If you continue, you will be arrested for trespassing.

If you are in violation of any of the student code of conduct, you will be subject to punishment up to and including expulsion.

Enjoy your free speech.

I was searching for foreign donors to Columbia and couldn't find it.....But

quote:

According to the search results, Arab countries such as Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, and Egypt are among the top donors to American universities.
For instance, a 2023 report from the American Israeli Cooperative Enterprise (AICE) found that these countries accounted for 23% of all donations to higher education and 94% of the $12.5 billion donated by 14 Arab states and the Palestinian Authority.

Harvard University received $218 million in foreign funding since January 2022
Cornell University received $1.5 billion in foreign funding
Georgetown University received $748 million
Northwestern University received over $586 million.

According to a report from the Network Contagion Research Institute (NCRI), over 200 US universities, including elite institutions like Carnegie Mellon, Cornell, Harvard, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, received $13 billion in “undocumented contributions from foreign governments” between 2014 and 2019.

The motivations behind these donations are often unclear, and some experts have raised concerns that foreign funding can exert influence on American institutions of higher education, which play a critical role in shaping elite culture and ideas that ultimately influence policy.
