going all in with BRICS

My first thought is that they feel like China and Russia give them better allies in their running feud with Pakistan over the Kashmir region. Maybe they think the threat of the Chinese army or Russian nukes makes the Pakis think a bit more before any more saber rattling.

The US is telling them to destroy their economy. India gets there energy from Russia. We want them to cut it off to hurt russia. India says no.

USA wants huge tariffs if they say no. They say better to keep the lights on. *turns their back.

It’s posturing. They play both sides.
They hate Pakistan and China at their core. Russia and China don’t trust each other. North Korea is inept and won’t do anything either way.
This new Axis/BRICS is a big nothing burger.

Russia, China and India believe they have an opportunity to form a robust economic alliance with each other that will rival the US.

At best, 10% of India’s population have disposable income. A larger portion of Chinese do, but communism puts the breaks on spending. The US, by far, buys more crap they make than any other country 10 fold. Even our population below the poverty line buy clothes, electronics, cosmetics, homewares, etc., they supply.

They desperately need the US markets.
