re: In Montreal, you can’t have a Christian singer have a worship service in a Church

I said larger than singing, as in conceptual.
The distinction involve is if this was a normal worship service or an event/concert/show (whatever term that isn't "singing") that requires a permit
Churches do not need permits for this in the US. You are lying. You can confirm it yourself by calling local churches and associations. I have personally spoken with people who have been pastors for decades. We also know that police everywhere aren't allowing this illegal activity basically every week. That's absurd
You are wrong

They do not have concerts at their church every week
You are wrong.
You are still wrong about the 14th amendment and keep doubing down on it. You made up words and ideas that aren't in the text. I quoted your own words on both issues in this thread

quote:If you started a church and had Leeland or Anthem Lights perform a CONCERT, you wouldn't need a permit
I don't think churches should get to break the laws I have to follow just because
You are wrong

quote:"Want?" It's what it is. And the obvious evidence is all over the place.
Had this discussion been framed around the revocation of permits, then you could do the "Christians are being persecuted" angle y'al so want to
And this wasn't just about the revocation of permits. Apparently the church was issued a fine. For what? We already know they didn't need a permit for a worship service
quote:I quoted you nerd. You said these events aren't legal, which is a lie that you can confirm yourself easily by making a couple of local phone calls
me keeping this on topic

they get frustrated when I see that and stop it
Just like you did with the churches requiring permits.
And then you deny you said that. Except I've quoted it. It's still itt a few pages back

ETA: had this same topic been made properly with the other stories, I wouldn't have even commented.

Yep the event took place anyway.
Not to completion, due to the legal issues involved.

No, he is.
What makes him annoying on the forum helps him as a lawyer.
It’s one of the reasons our legal system sucks. Because it’s disconnected from morality and dependent upon sophistry.

You mean not having even a basic introductory level understanding of law, but pretending to be a lawyer?

I want to point out that this discussion went exactly the same as always
1. SFP jumps in and makes some half baked assertion based on opinion
2. I question it and pin SFP down
3. SFP says "I didn't say that" and "you're too stupid to understand"
4. SFP runs away
SFP, I have advice for you. Before you make your dumb assertion, stop yourself, look it up to get educated and try to play devil's advocate with your presuppositions. You'll gain way more respect, not be seen as a fool and will be wiser for it than your current approach where you delusionally think you're educating the unwashed masses
At some point, everyone is not stupid. You're just wrong

If tweet fails to load, click here. As for Canada, we should tariff them until they are so poor the 3rd world does not wish to come there. There is no reason Canada should be a country, they have no national identity. Its just a mash of liberal brits, french and migrants
