SFP makes the call after hearing un-permitted singing in church:

That was a larger “event” though…
Singing the same church where they will be singing today…

Exactly. No need to make up facts like jimmy is doing.

If church today is even larger than that worship night to show support for the church…do they need another permit?
Posted on 7/27/25 at 8:08 am to texag7
That's not the only variable involved. Clearly an actual worship service as done normally wouldn't need special permission as that naturally falls within the regs of the locality.

Holy shite 41 pages in a day?!?!
SFP must have really outdone himself.

Worship nights that are heavily music based with prayer are very common. My church does these all the time, in the church with the same people who attend weekly. This was not a special event at all requiring any type of permit

What if a church holds a revival?
Or vacation Bible school?
The Lord’s Supper?
What’s the permitting requirements for these?

So if church service is small, singing is allowed, but if the service is packed…quiet time or FAFO?

Define this

No. You're bad at this. Really, really bad.

How so?
What facts have been made up?
Again…define this:

Because you don’t live or go to a church in Montreal.

Then help us out since everyone else in this mister thread is obviously a bunch of dolts, myself included apparently. Please enlighten us on this threshold of when a church service crosses the line and requires a permit.
If you can, be quick about it. I’m about to get in the shower and get ready for church. I want to be able to earn my pastor about this so we don’t run afoul of the law the next time we hold a singing, revival, or VBS.
TIA

Based on what happened in Montreal, my “guess” is the revival and the VBS would make the Mayor/City mad enough to require a special permit.
The Lord’s supper probably disgusts them too, but it’s common enough in churches that they would have to let it go without a permit. But they still hate it.

You are, in fact, not. You're asking me to substantiate randomness you're interjecting that I didn't say
You said these events are happening "not legally." That is a lie. I know for a fact that churches don't need permits for these events because I have confirmed it with association leaders and church staff.
Just admit you were wrong.
Heck, call the local church associations to find out for yourself. Particularly Baptist and non denominational because they typically host these artists and larger events.
If they aren't legal, why aren't police doing the same thing that they did in Montreal. It's your claim and it's relevant to the OP

Exactly like your failure on the 14th Amendment
