So you're sticking with that and ignoring the other facts that show there is a deficit with Canada, even according to Canada's numbers? When you do that all you're doing is letting everyone know you don't tell the truth.

You can tell a lie as many times as you want, won't make it true. Here it is again from the Office of the US Trade Representative, which sits under, the Executive office of the President.

U.S. goods and services trade with Canada totaled an estimated $627.8 billion in 2016. Exports were $320.1 billion; imports were $307.6 billion. The U.S. goods and services trade surplus with Canada was $12.5 billion in 2016.

For probably the 25th time, the Canadian is saying that they lose 17 billion a year

Also, this a quote from Trump talking to his donors.. Not the WaPo reporting it as fact.

Well good, we're finally winning one.

Do you think Mueller will bring charges for this?

frick's sake, man, why do you try? He plainly said that he went off the cuff in claiming a deficit. He later tweeted that he was accidentally right (though he's wrong) and now you have people backing him up when the figures are easily available.

Of course they'll weasel out by saying "he only meant our trade in goods so he was right."

Classic Trumpism.

We have an $18 billion deficit with Canada.
If Trump's "trade representative" actually said otherwise, he should review his comments.

The only way you're still confused is if you haven't read the thread.

Which I can see you didn't, as we had a decisive discussion on whether the trade deficit includes both goods and services. Yet the numbers you just posted only include goods.

Meanwhile, other federal sources confirm USTR's stated trade surplus with CA (two of them, BEA and Census, linked by me ITT).

It's just ridiculous. @real has been passionate about this topic for 30 years, yet he doesn't have the facts at his fingertips concerning Canada(!), and so he tries (and fails) to bullshite his way through a meeting with Trudeau. It's like he's living that dream where you show up for a test but forgot to go to class the whole semester. Maybe that's how you bankrupt multiple casinos(!) and underperform index funds for 30 years.

ETA. You misread or don't understand what happened. It is literally nothing. He said he thought Justin was wrong so he asked someone to check. And when you include timber....trump was right. This kind of fake news is so commonplace. You guys are pathetic.

You can't read, of you get easily confused by what you read.
