That's a fair point. Some/many people are locked in to the idea that politics is a war and therefor we must be against something if the other side is for something. It happens and it can be silly. Speaking for myself, I've never been against walls or fences. I'm only against them if we put them in an area where no-one is crossing. Trump wanted to build a wall all the way accross. That's stupid. What he actually accomplished is to build a much better fences in the areas that actually need fences. Last I looked there was only a tiny area where Trump actually built a new fence where a fence didn't exist.
If congress had simply given in to the orange goblin, the federal government would have stolen private land in order to build a fence in areas where migration is already 0 or very close to 0.

The passive aggressive remark from me was referencing your first post to me that included the stupid comment about wasteful spending.
So far, you've made a bullshite comment attempting to suggest that I'm calling out wasteful spending here but likely haven't done it for other scenarios (which has nothing to do with the topic) and then to call me an alter when you realize you can't hold my jock strap.

Why do you think illegals wouldn't adjust their immigration patterns around the sections that would be put into place?
I guess you think they're willing to travel hundreds of miles, but won't take a 20-30 mile detour east or west to curve around a section of wall.

I don't know a single person that would lock up their home protection firearm if we just built a fence around their house. And the reason is very simply. Fences aren't perfect. They make it harder and increase the time required to cross, but they aren't perfect.

Sometimes it's hard to tell the difference between stupidity and dishonesty. Either is possible here but I lean towards dishonest. Nobody with an ounce of political awareness doesn't know "walls don't work" was a TDS rallying cry. Now those people didn't actually believe it either; that was also dishonesty.

1st Amendment rights to be asserted. But, you know, it’s the right to PEACEFULLY assemble. My view is that that does not mean you can do whatever provocative, shrill, insane, violent, disruptive thing you choose. We should arrest people for disturbing the peace when in the exercise of their rights under the 1st Amendment, they don’t assemble PEACEFULLY. (Old man yells at cloud.)
