He was convicted on testimony from a couple of con artists that stole his zoo and ex con who hated him. They charged him with a bunch of bogus animal cruelty shite. Even the FBI lawyers admitted that juries are more likely to convict when animals are involved, which is why they brought so many animal cruelty charges against him.
