Funny. I didn’t want kids either when I was in my early 20s. I was also much more naive about the world and liberal. Then I entered the real world, grew up, paid taxes and became much less egocentric which led to getting married and becoming a mom.
People think they know everything in their teens and early 20s and still believe in simple solutions to huge problems. 10 years of life experience changes a lot.
ETA My Gen Z son told me he wants 4 boys one day.

Do you not understand that government agencies have long since gone rogue? It doesn’t matter who the president appoints because those department heads can’t fire the real decision makers, and those rank and file employees simply ignore department heads they disagree with. We saw this on full display during the Trump administration.
The voter has literally zero ability to vote for anyone with actual power to dictate decisions by administrative agencies. This is the biggest single problem in our federal government today.
