This (drag queen) topic was thoroughly addressed in several other threads and can be easily summarized as follows.
quote:

You think drag queens are SCARY. They don’t bother me much. You try very hard to extrapolate that this makes me a child molester or (at a minimum) Ghislane-light. I find your histrionics amusing. endthread
Let’s not derail yet another, OK?

Patton was the Trump of his time.

A complete a-hole and didn't care whos feeling got hurt, but he was right most if not all of the time.

And that pissed people off more than him being an a-hole.

Yep. Decisions in war are never black and white. There’s never a real right answer for any decisions made in war.

When people start talking about “cleansing” Europe, Jews get real nervous.

These people need to understand the situation, Germany declared war on us. They were winning. We couldn’t just sit by and watch them get stronger and stronger.

You are correct in a general sense, but I think you were conflating two different lines of arguments (both of which have made their appearance in this thread.”

First is the “we should have Switched sides, allied ourselves with the Germans and attacked Russia in 1945” argument. That was the original premise of this thread, and your post does not really address it.

Second is the “we should never have opened a second front” argument. That one dovetails with your comment perfectly. We used the USSR as a tool to exhaust a country which had declared war on us, ultimately weakening that country adequately to allow us to invade and defeat it. Stalin KNEW he was being used, which is why he was constantly begging for a second front, but he had no choice in the matter. He could buy us time with Russian bodies and American equipment, or he could get beaten flat by Germany.

Practically speaking, America had no stomach for another War.

It was time to bring the Boys home and rebuild.

He would have no place in today's woke military. Milley would have him removed from the service.

If we’re talking about Communism, the damage had already been done by 1939, the English universities were churning out Communists, and the Communists were a powerful force in French politics. They would enter government after the war, under de Gaulle.

Ideas are like viruses, and Communism had already infected the West.

The continued existence of the Soviet Union was an evil, and it did damage that can never be repaired. The Bolsheviks shattered rural culture, the people may have remained in the countryside, despite everything, but they lived increasingly broken lives. But if there was a way to save the West, that moment had passed somewhere between 1914 and 1921.

Perhaps the most unfortunate conclusion to make, is that the war, and the collapse of Western culture, was driven by the ideas that powered the industrial revolution. Technology, and an increasingly irreligious, and atomized society, would always eat itself alive. Destroying the world that created it. Leaving chaos behind.

I'm sure everyone in every occupied country would have loved this 10-25 year plan. If you think no way just read your history on wars no one thought would last long lol
