Most people will either tune out all together or go watch theTPUSA halftime show with Kid Rock and others. If he keeps his mouth shut and just sings then he will do ok I’m sure. The second he opens his mouth about ICE or Trump though and those that didn’t do theTPUSA to start will soon join it in quick fashion.

Truths according to this board:
1) No one watches the NFL anymore
2) Everyone loves Metallica
3) Kid Rock is more popular than Bad Bunny in 2026

i don't recall this much hype around a halftime show ever. people are going to watch the shite out of it

Anyone here saying Metallica’s too old to play the Super Bowl or that they aren’t popular anymore is full of shite.
They’re literally in the middle of a massive, sold-out stadium tour that’s gone all over the world, and their music was used on Stranger Things, helping them reach a whole new generation of fans.
They’re far bigger than Bad frickin’ Bunny.

by what metric?

The fact they are from the Bay Area would have been icing on the cake but not a requirement. It would have been cool for them though I’m sure.

i do agree with that
i waited on hetfield and jim brewer at a restaurant in lake tahoe liken 1997. left him alone but gave him a little "thanks for all the music" as they were closing out. he left a huge tip

Metallica would be a great halftime show.

Thank you. I forgot about the Stranger Things. Plus they are not only playing stadiums they are still playing 2 sold out shows a night I think with a completely different set list the second night. Bad Bunny could hold Metallica’s jock strap or tube of Bio Freeze lol.

I watched Jim open up for Metallica a few years ago. His Ozzy impression is absolutely hilarious.

white liberal virtue signalers who don't watch sports will be huddled around the tv for halftime with their soy milk and tofu not understanding a god damn word from this bum and go online to celebrate best halftime show ever.

If the product they sold wasn’t so popular, the business would fold? You don’t say.

you don't even know a single one of his songs without googling it.
more sports fans know who Metallica is. Majority of the people watching this halftime show won't even understand one lyric from bug bunny. This is laughable.
