It doesn’t matter. If it were to pass in the house he would be impeached but he would never be removed from office without 2/3 of the senate vote.

It would be absolute disaster for them. That’s why Pelosi is putting it off in the hopes they either win the Presidency in 2020 or the Senate. They probably won’t win one without the other. I think they know that they don’t have a prayer of beating his re-election bid, so they’re going to try to boot him out of office. It’s also a strategy that they are using to keep his Administration distracted and having to put out fires so it doesn’t get any meaningful work done.

There is a reason it hasn't moved to the House and Pelosi has blocked all efforts to actually start proceedings. They don't even have the votes in the House. Simple as that. Might be a few votes off or might be a ton off but until she knows the entire Dem block will vote for impeachment, Pelosi isn't going to push the issue.

Somebody wake me up when they get a majority to vote to impeach him. Until then I'm not going to even speculate. Next time congress is in session, aliens need to attack the place.

There are two outcomes.
Outcome 1: Measure fails in the House
Outcome 2: Measure passes the House along partisan lines, measure fails in the Senate.
Either way, the names of everyone who voted yes are used in every campaign by their opponents and those who voted no and are Democrats are still guilty by association.

I don’t think it changes public perception much anymore. Most people are just done with it. It will give MSM something to talk about as they canonize The Squad. They are just trying to give their base anything to clutch into right now.
