I don’t think there’s any rational or verifiable basis for which to refer to them as “bffs.” I’d suspect rather far from it, in fact. The most realistic label, IMO, would be more along the lines of casual acquaintances. Or maybe “casual friends” could’ve fit. In my mind Trump’s act of barring Epstein from Mar a Lago was an underrated one. That was a rather strong public shaming, is what it amounted to, when Trump could have probably done something short of that had he wished, something much less embarrassing. I wouldn’t think they ever had a word of communication from that point on.

That's not necessarily true. It was a big issue for millions of his voters and he mentioned it enough. He knew it was important. He almost instantly, upon being inaugurated, publicly pledged he would immediately be releasing the JFK files, Epstein files, J6 files etc. Then he DID announce they had and were releasing the Epstein files... and we see how that backfired and lead to where we currently are. It's pretty bad, dude.
I don't think that means he was involved... but the way it went down, it seems after they (Bondi/Trump) were trolled with the phony transfer of the files to them, they were also told to STFU and drop it. By whom? That is the mystery. And under what circumstances, political pressure, supposed national security/intelligence threats, damaged diplomacy, or even death threats... who knows. But something happened that night and it has thrown a wrench into the whole thing and the aftermath/damage control/bushing it off the Trump admin has been doing since then is wild.
