According to the Office of Personnel Management there’s nearly 1.4 million civilian employees in the executive branch. No human can know and personally vet that many people; therefore at some point you have to rely on recommendations, recommendations of recommendations, recommendations of those recommendations, and so on. Of course some bad eggs are going to both slip through and even prosper in such a system.

Would you consider the ambassador to Ukraine to be just some random person out of this 1.4 million? Or would they be somewhat noteworthy?

No more noteworthy than any ambassador fool. Or for that matter any FSO.

Let it go. I'm sure if he had it to do all over again, he'd fire them all sight unseen like Obama did to Bush's ambassadors, but here we are.

Your OP isnt interesting or relevant.

Ambassadors weren't noteworthy enough to keep a mob from murdering one in 2012. Why give a shite when this one was fired?

Noteworthy enough for a president to develop an opinion on them without being prompted by someone else's comments? No.

I though about posting this.

Suddenly liberals are "deeply concerned" about the well being of our ambassadors.

Sorry Marie, but what difference at this point does it make?

Because it might give some insight into the way Trump operates

You can think that he let her go because she was incompetent. A more rational person might conclude that competence had nothing to do with the matter.

Powerman, have you even specified what your theory is yet? Maybe I missed it. If you haven't, it's probably high time.

Trump is looking at the big picture. He has done it with every swamp creature. Give them enough rope to do what Epstein didn't do!
You don't think he has FISA warrants on all of them now? He has let them all continue their crimes so he has more evidence against them.

Uh-uh, nope. Stop! You don't get to do that. NO ONE, absolutely not a damn soul, especially anyone from the left (don't know where you stand but regardless)...NO ONE gets to use that played-out, tired, lame excuse after the whole damn 3-4 year Russia hoax, complete with spying on an opposition political campaign (Trumps) by the party in power (Obama), while the DNC & opposition political campaign (Hillary) SOLICITED & PAID for dirt from a foreign country (Ukraine). All the while using a weaponized FBI/CIA/intelligence agenices and subjecting this country to 3 years of divisiveness. It is clear (by the fact there have been ZERO consequences) that it is perfectly fine to do all of the above, even & especially the president.

I bet every last one of those American would be alive today if Trump would have been president at that time.

Hmmm, you could say the same thing about the top prosecutor in Ukraine, Viktor Shokin, being fired.

He could have fired her anytime he wanted but she was there until May 20th, 2019.

Presidents can release ambassadors from their duty any time they want to.

Trump fires her on day one = inpeachmint

Trump gives her a chance to prove herself and she fails = inpeachmint

Your question, like this “inquiry”, is nonsense
