If Hunter is innocent of FARA violations and peddling influence, why did he need immunity?

Just asking, for those who think his business deals were legitimate.
Hell, Weiss could have given him immunity from being charged with the Death of President Kennedy, if they are giving him immunity from crimes he didn't commit...
