Maybe it's just me, but when I hear the rumble of tanks as a civilian, I move away from them at a high level of speed. I'm not going to wait around and wonder if they're going to put a round into the building next to me, or across the street. I'm out.

Well he’s a Christian called by Jesus to tend to the community and was out trying to help wounded Christian civilians so I can see how you would be confused.

And to be clear once tanks are in an area anyone running in the open is probably getting machine gunned so once they’re on you going to ground is probably a better call anyway.

Prove a negative? Sorry, don’t think I’ll have time to get out to Lebanon and satisfy your standards today.

I do not.

(ETA: I wasn't defending the source - I was asking the binary - was it merely heavily biased or just faked - I assume there is no third option.)

Maroun said Qlayaa was not only vulnerable to Israeli attacks, but also had been hit by what appeared to be Hezbollah rockets that had misfired or fallen short of their targets.

Yet there was also a sense of frustration among many here, underscoring growing anger not only with Hezbollah but also the Lebanese government for failing to defang the group and stop its ability to wage war. When the head of the Lebanese army arrived at the funeral, some in attendance heckled and refused to let the ceremony proceed until he departed. “Now he comes? Why is he here rather than protecting us from shells and missiles?” said Chawline Maroun, a 23-year-old student whose home in the nearby village of Kfar Kila was destroyed in the fighting. She has since moved in with family in Qlayaa.

The article is neither vice or AF…

Its by the National Catholic Reporter based out of kansas.

Are yall trying to discredit NCR because other sources like vice and AF are fake?

"hear" the rumble of enemy tanks and quickly evacuated the area?

You feel it, and you hear it. It's a 1,500 hp diesel engine, and it weighs 65 tons. In an urban area, all of that is magnified by bouncing off of stone walls and reverberating through all the concrete. And, one would presume these rounds weren't the first fired within 300 meters of the building, so you would have heard gunfire and exploding rounds sometime before they were at your front door.

I can hear when my chick parks her Jeep in my driveway with the TV on, and everyone's dogs can tell the difference between your truck and the UPS truck. But yeah, 65 tons and 1,500hp just sneaks up on you.

I’m gonna speculate here and say he could’ve been acting that way bc priests typically have a calling to administer last rites… even in warzones

Just as I thought, you've never been remotely close to having been bombed.

I was talking about tanks, not being bombed you fricking idiot. You know, the title of the thread? I don't give a shite that the conversation turned towards bombing this or bombing that.

But tell me again how you can't hear and feel armor.
