How many illegals are here - 30 million? 50 million? Pick your number. No matter how compelling or captivating or defensible any individual case might or might not be, it simply is a sign of a diseased system when there are tens of millions that have subverted it. How did it become racist to acknowledge this?

There can be some legal immigration. From people who can minimally follow the rules and afford the fees. We don't need anyone who couldn't even reach that small threshold.

File for what specifically? A visa from Honduras is $3k right about now and it takes up to two years to get the appointment. You do not necessarily get that visa on the first try either. Medical exams and vaccinations are also required. It isnt the couple hundred USD you see on the state department website. I wanted to get my ex's mother to come visit her from Cuba. That would have probably put me in the new vehicle price range and still not get her here to visit her daughter. Definitely not under Rubio

No, they aren't. That are affordable to anyone who could contribute to this country meaningfully.

It's not just there, its all over the country.

I work with many H1B Indians at a fortune 500 in Phoenix. They have been here for years. H1B is only supposed to be good for 6 years total (renewed once after 3 years), then they are supposed to go back. It takes Indians over 10 years to get a green card/ citizenship. Many of the Indians I work with have been here working for well over 10 years and never went back to India after there H1B ended.

If the system is such a problem, who is doing something to address it? In the meantime, we have a system and it is the law. Until that changes, it has to be followed.

But if it’s never enforced, people ignore it. Doesn’t mean they should be let off because the system is hard/expensive. Anyone ever disagreed with a speed limit? If you never see a policeman, you keep speeding. But if you get caught, you pay the price under the law. You are welcome to lobby to change the speed limit, but until then, you are subject to it.

No we really dont. We need to rebuild our education system from the ground up. Immigration at the cost of a nation's identity is fundamentally a bad idea.
