I fly a couple times a month, but am TSA Pre and have never paid attention to that sign. I've also never seen anyone refuse to show an ID.
They certainly ask for it from everyone.
Does this rule mean ICE can ask, or that it is compulsory.

Linking boarding pass and I'd readers at airports to ICE illegal data base should be SOP.
ICE should be stationed at air ports and be available when a boarding pass check in hits on a known illegal
