I meant "you" as a generality for pretty much any Republican in a hard core liberal family. They are more likely to freeze "you" out than the other way around.

If Harris and the Dems successfully steal this election, I am going to be one surly and bitter motherfricker.

I told my wife something similar, but my reason is simple. Those sorry POS have declared war on my small children through systematic destruction of our economy and society and I refuse to associate with people who do that.

It's no doubt hard to maintain relationships across party lines when both people prioritize a political identity and the groups that they identify with have a lot of affective polarization. You really have deliberately minimize the presence of politics in your interactions. Doing regular everyday life things together and having off limits topics has been really helpful for me.

I agree they are retarded, but this kind of polarization is why we are where we are.

God commands us to love them. But he never said we had to like them.

I don’t want to socialize with them because I don’t enjoy their company. Some may have once been friends, but I consider them to be mere acquaintances now. I will speak to them cordially (never about politics) and help them if they need help because God expects me to do so.

Don’t be like them, treat them with respect but avoid them if you can.

Well that's what's already happening with DEM supporters, they've already dropped you. We are so close to the civil war type stuff.

That's the real problem. Civil, rational discussion has disappeared. I still try, but it's challenging when the counterfactuals are "unburdened by what has been."

The real problem is all the centuries of making peace with evil.

It’s wild they won’t admit that the machine and all these people in power just put her up there. The best are people who act like they’re dems bc the bad boogie man republicans are keeping them down. Literally every powerful organization or entity is lib controlled

I don’t associate with people who are so dumb as to disassociate themselves from folks with different political opinions.

Republicans should have run a better candidate than Trump. Then many moderates would be less inclined to support Harris.

The election outcome will be based on moderate voters chosing the lesser of two evils. Trump verses Harris. Not Republican vs. Democrat. Trump is not a true Republican in many ways.

The election outcome will be based on how much cheating will take place.

I agree. I can't be friends with someone who wants to destroy our country.
