In general, I have always loved and watched sports, probably made them too important in my life like a lot of people in this country. I tried to watch the first NBA game the other night, but the messaging was just over the top and pervasive. Even the commercials (particularly a Sprite commercial I remember) were doing it.

So thankfully I just changed the channel and havent looked back. And it feels like a weight has been lifted to be able to walk away from spectating sports. And my life will continue to be more productive outside of my job as I will have more time to do weekend projects around the house or just go on more family outings.

I hope a significant enough portion of the country does the same thing. Once the numbers drop and these leagues understand their wallets are being affected by the politicization of sports then they will back up and recalibrate and hopefully get back to just playing the games.

The NBA peaked in the 90's with Jordan, etc. It's been a BLM circle jerk for a while, like the grammy's have become.

It will retain its hardcore black audience and may pick up a few SJW's for a while, but their whole "sportsball" attitude will make them temporary fans at best.

They won’t miss you. Ratings were double what they’d normally be, and will only rise when the playoffs start. Cause the thing is, whether we support the same cause as the players or not, most nba fans can see our favorite athletes have different opinions and not act like cry babies about it.

Lol he fell for the numbers swindling. You are comparing opening day to like game 30 from last year.

What will be your reaction if the LSU football team does the same thing?

Well, one thing is they aren't millionaires.

Secondly, I'm going to support LSU regardless....it'll be the only thing I will.

Grown 'men' crying like little bitches because someone has a different opinion from them is pretty damn sad. I think

Sounds as if you have described NBA players.
I agree with you. They are whining about conditions that made them multimillionaires.
They are championing a country, China, and if they were born in China they would be slaves.
They are the perfect example of stupidity.
USA- Bad
China-Good
What a bunch of clowns. They deserve no respect.

Exactly. They’re nothing but a bunch of hypocrites, they won’t allow that message to be used on a jersey. I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t allow something like “back the blue” on there either.

Years ago felt like that, but where...do you take a stand. How many folks are feeling emboldened that their politics are RIGHT. SORRY, I so disagree with you on this one. I love professional football, NCAA even better, once the knee starts I done. Sleep better at night knowing I did my microscopic part. Semper FI

Ironically I have found out that since I do not like the NBA NFL and baseball along with the crap films that had been made in the political stances of the actors that my free time has allowed me to get involved in many more activities outdoors and I’m enjoying myself much more and in better health

Every single conservative family should completely remove pro sports from their lives because most of them hate us

I can't wait for the NFL, NBA and MBA to start bleeding financially and can't pay their spoiled rich asses. Any government handouts should be pulled.

The NBA doesn't care. Your taxes and revenue from television will simply continue to fund the league.
