Well, now I'm confused. Ability to access has nothing to do with access?

Not being able to consume all the content of the site at one time is not the same as not being able to access the content.

I can't stream multiple 4K videos if I only have 50MBs download speeds. I can still access them though.

Hell I can throw up a multi-Petabyte file on a server. You can access it, but downloading it's going to be a bitch.

Funny how you can spout off modulation scheme initialisms, but not realize that a smoke signal can achieve the same thing.

A drunk me can clearly destroy idiots ShortyRob, but I would be honored tomorrow to debate this with Centinel. I’m not working tomorrow, and save for seeing Coco around 1:00 tomorrow, I have time to debate him. If Centinel would like to debate sometime tomorrow in a thread, it would be my pleasure. Data caps still exist because they can be neutral. There is specific wording about data caps in the rules because they can also be non-neutral. The determining factor is whether the cap is used in an anti-competitive or anti-consumer manner, such as allowing paid exemptions or exemptions for the ISPs own services.

Which is why I posted the rest of my comment that you left out.

Ok bro, whatever you say. Go ahead and keep pretending that a car that can get you to work only 1 day per month actually competes with a car that gets you there every day.

A Ferrari will get me to work in half the time a Honda will. I'm still getting to work though.

The FCC definition you are using is subjective and arbitrary, just like any other. I'm just trying to tell you that mobile ISPs do not compete with cable ISPs, and the FCC definitions will tell you that, too.

It's a standard definition used across the industry. The FCC definition says 25MB/s down. LTE Mobile providers meet this standard.

Data caps or limits are irrelevant.

I see you still don't understand what the term "monopoly" means. Hint: it does not mean absolutely one provider of a product/service.
That's the exact definition man
You really need to understand the difference between the dictionary definition of the word and what it actually means in the real world.

What does this have to do with the discussion?

So now dictionary definitions aren't actual definitions in the real world?

In other words, you want words to mean what you think they should.

Can i just point out that if 56% of the time i wanted my lights on, i used my generator and the same applied to the population, then you actually COULD say that generators competed with the grid. because clearly That would mean pricing allowed that usage choice ;)

Yes! Let's do. At least we can agree that the basic unit of interest is internet service. Which means that all the shite you've said about sending data packets to your neighbor to deflect away from ISPs being a natural monopoly is bullshite.

ISP's aren't a natural monopoly because you have more than one choice of an ISP in 99% of this country.

That's where I'm at.

It's pretty clear you don't work in an office, nor do you own your own business, nor do you work at all.

Ah yes, it's readily apparent by my posts that I am in fact a basement dweller of my parents collecting welfare.

Feel the Bern! Or something.
