Good Lord, I thought they were closed.....NO CARS.
I am aware of the shortage, but I mean NO CARS!

The reason I went, their website said they had 24 in inventory of the model I want. Totally deceptive information....these 24 vehicles were in transit from a factory that any dealer can purhcase! They were all sold but 2.

And the few used cars on the lot were more expensive than new!

Super Clown World!

So you had 2 to choose from and you are complaining?

Computer chips and supply line ( CA cargo ship log jam ) and not enough truckers to move stuff from A to B.

Yep. Bought a car a couple months ago and while shopping around, inventory was ridiculously low and most dealerships were charging $5k over MSRP on Stingers.

Its the used car market that has gone through the roof. A used 2018 is the same as 2021 vehicles because of the shortage.

What do you need a car for?

You plan on using your privilege of traveling?

Are 2018 F150s going to look like '57 Chevys in Havana here in 50 years?

Well, I wanna but a car with a real engine before they are gone! I'm not ready to drive a golf cart every day!

Just bought a new ride, drove all the way from Southwest LA to Dallas for the one I wanted. Nothing in Louisiana or Houston even.

Just wait it’s about to get worse. The magnesium shortage is about to completely shut the industry down.

Good - we don't need more gas powered cars on the road destroying the earth.

I am in the industrial sector, large stainless tanks and equipment....prices good til next day, and 4-6 months lead time. Projects on hold is the norm.

We are told this will go on for 24 months minimum.

I was afraid that your car buying experience would involve being exposed to mean tweets. I can rest much easier knowing that you were not.

Agreed!

To buy a new car these days, you buy the VIN number in advance of delivery....
