Good post. We will go out of our way to get Americans killed in the Middle East to promote law and order but here at home...

Chill and realx OP. You want blood on the roads? if so, you got issues.

Things are well on their way to diffusing all over the country so just let the rest of the air out and life will move on.

Kneeling is an act of submission. You think this is a good look? It makes our military look weak and taking a political stance which has never been allowed in uniform.

GOD help them if my drill instructors from Parris Island were present! They would hear words screamed at them that they have never heard before, and none pleasant. Then they would go on a 25 mile hike with full packs.

Bruh probably half of those idiots got the SSI-FWTS for sitting their asses in Kuwait and haven’t seen a second of a combat theater let alone combat.

Wait....

You can get a SSI-FWTS for going to Kuwait?

Damn I have been out a while. Then again I got a GWOTSM for sitting in a datacenter in Bragg.

The military are there to keep the peace, not cower and submit like dogs. They can kneel and hold hands on their own time.

The purpose of the Constitution is to prevent government tyranny, not pass tyranny along to another party.

What the frick is this shite? Did the good idea fairy whisper in the CO's ear and said "hey let's make a political statement"? I've been out of the service a while but not only is it frown upon but I believe verboten.

Times like this I'd ask "What would Patton do?"

Slap every damn one of them.

And here's the issue. Whomever started it should be punished the most. Imagine if some disagreed with the kneeling. Can you imagine the blow back of one guy refusing to kneel?

His buddies put him in a tough spot

Power to make the military subservient to them? Please tell me o' Constitutional scholar. Where does it say that?

It's been quite some time but I don't think any other civilians other than POTUS, SECDEF, and the Secretary of that particular service branch were added to a servicemember's chain of command. Even then you don't kneel to a superior, they are saluted. It's a show of respect of that person's rank and/or position, not subservience.

this may wind up being a good thing if it causes the protesters to step back

it also may win support from the black community

Rule #237:
You’ll never be woke enough for the woke crowd.

Don’t even try to appease them. You give them that inch and they’ll take a whole fricking marathon.

The black community doesn't know even know what the hell they want. They sure as hell wont remember the nice soldier men next time they want to burn something down or throw bricks.

This motherfricker right here. You acted indignant the day that the WW2 monument was defaced. Now you take this stance. If you want a weak military, at least own it. You have powersucked every leftist position on this board. Own it.

Upon seeing this, my 77 year old father, a true Devil Dog Marine who was awarded the MOH, stated that he would be puking in his grave if he wasn't still alive and kicking. No Oorah for them.

Yeah, I know how the Army basically said if you were active or in a reserve component that was mobilized at least 30 days from 9/11 to 2004 you got one. The Air Force was at first a bit more particular about it basically saying you had to participate in airport security operations.

Zero respect for weekend warriors. Reserve Marines dreaded their summer camps on real bases. We put those sad fricks through 2 weeks of hell every year. It's the one time when rank didn't mean shite. It was rare to see them re-up after their 1st 6 years were over

I can't even fathom how sad the National Guard standards are.
