Better, but not by a lot. The difference was in the Congress, which truly had some middle of the road democrat congressmen who were patriotic. Even they couldn’t walk in lock step with Carter, which helped with media coverage that didn’t cover up for Carter’s incompetence.
Fast forward to today. There are no Demorats in Congress that don’t support Biden, even with silence. Thus, no media pushback. Lying press secretary and spokespeople throughout the administration. Alphabet agencies corrupt and clearly partisan.
So Carter was bad, this is far worse.

I was in grade school and don’t remember many details. With that being said, they way I cuss Biden is eerily similar to the way my dad cussed Carter, so I think it’s really close one way or another.

Carter was incompetent and accidently destroyed things. Biden's group is quite adept at destroying the country as that's their purpose.

Economically worse but Biden getting there quickly. One huge thing though, Carter was a nice guy, a good guy and that made it not seem as bad. Biden is pathologically lying POS corrupt to the core creepy pedo scumbag. And he doesn’t just lie, he lies brazenly about things easily proven false. I was just a kid but can remember the long lines for gas. My parents bought an economy car, 5 speed stick Chrysler Horizon. We took a family trip to Austin and the car couldn’t make it over some hills. Haha My parents were embarrassed that some Texas folk pushed us over hill with a big truck.
