People are sick of weak Rino's such as Romney, McCain, Jeb and Twitch. We need someone who is going to take the fight to the leftists before they finish destroying this country. And btw "normalcy" in American politics is dead. Things are never going back to the way they used to be. There is a battle for two different versions of America. One will win and one will lose and it's going to be ugly as hell to that point.

I was no Trump fan in the primaries, and I share the OP's desire for normality.
But Trump has forwarded very good policy. He's been a good POTUS, well beyond my expectations.
Where I differ from the OP is in presumption of origin of present political animus and discord. The OP seems to assign blame to Trump. I don't. IMO blame lies largely with the left and with news media. Giving into unwarranted, often duplicitous leftist attacks, as "W" did, is defeatist.
In order to reset the paradigm, eight years of Trump would be a Godsend.
