I thought the docs Trump had were in a secure location like a vault.

I think he's just astounded that you have X-Ray vision and can see inside the boxes to know that their contents were classified documents.

There's really no way to judge anything based on those pictures.
Could be boxes of personal knick knacks and notes.

Just an FYI, you realize these are not "classified" documents right? Do you also realize that Trump is not being charged for mishandling "classified" documents in the MAL case?

I didn't think so, I thought they looked like moving boxes since one of them said "Mal Bedroom".

These documents are considered "national security documents" and the DOJ National Security Division says they own them. That's where the dispute arises. The indictment may say documents with classified markings, but just because they have classified marking does not mean they are classified. This is not even a real issue for Trump in the MAL case. He will get off on retaining "national security documents". Where he has the biggest problem is not turning them over in a timely matter for Jack's grand jury he conducted in DC and subsequent obstruction of justice charges. This process crime admittedly is a big pain in the arse for Trump. I don't believe it merits jail time but he he has the highest chance of being punished in some manner for obstruction.
