If you watch the major confrontation video, JoJo is bowed up on a guy who then gets yanked back by someone else. He’s wearing a hat very similar to Kyle’s. Not sure what sparked it between them, but the crowd clearly was wanting him. Is it possible the pedo mistook Kyle for the first guy (similar hats and weapon) a few moments later and gave chase?

The more video I watch, the more I’m convinced that prosecutors are going to have a very hard time separating the two dead men. They are on video together multiple times lighting a dumpster fire, getting into a heated argument at the gas station and perhaps more we haven’t seen. They were shoulder to shoulder. I’d think a very skilled defense attorney is going to be able to make the case that they were both working in concert to attack Kyle and as such cause him great bodily harm. This is simply not a case of one shooting and then skater boi on a mission to stop a crazed gunman before heroically being gunned down. He was simply continuing what JoJo instigated.

It’s infuriating to see that cop car at the intersection with his lights on ... presumably just watching the shiteshow and doing nothing about it... However, I’d imagine he was given orders to stand down and not engage... wtf

I heard an explanation years ago about about the roles of police vs military. The military trains to take ground and advance upon an enemy or a threat. Police training is quite the opposite. Their training is not to take ground but rather to secure and hold a perimeter. They are by in large a reactionary force. This is why in the event of riots the national guard is better suited for moving in and quelling the situation.

Also in regards to Riots police typically just don’t have the numbers to actually take on the mob. To avoid injury they basically need numbers of 3-4 to 1 rioting individual. They will attempt to contain or potentially push crowds and possibly pick off the main agitators for arrest but if the mob ever turns on them and goes all out it turns into a blood bath for everyone. They will attempt to disperse crowds and keep opposing factions separate up until a point when things get to dangerous for them to intervene.
