My roommate in the early 90's would play Garth Brooks songs 24/7 non-stop. Especially that damn movie he made back them.

Got sick of him and to this day I can't turn his music off fast enough. I think that was about the time when real country music got ruined forever.

Amazing Grace... I wonder if Democrats knew it was written by a slave trader if they would have it cancelled.

Thank you sir.

I've had some dark personal times in my life. I'm not worthy of God's grace, but he's given it to me anyway.

We've gotten so damned cynical. This forum and all the downvotes you're getting provide a perfect example.

I'm mad, yeah.

so if someone sang Amazing Grace at Hitler's seating, would that be speaking to everyone?

1). The man you speak of is dead (and burning in hell).
2). He was German, I'm American. So I wouldn't have been watching his the inauguration.

Look pretty much every time I head the song, I have the same reaction. I cannot help it. I truly understand that I was a wretch, and not worth saving. I was the piece of human garbage that many of you in this thread who've stooped to calling names think I am for posting this. I fact I was lower than that.

In the face of all of that, God said my soul, and the soul of everyone else was worth saving. So much so, that he sent his son to DIE a horrible, painful death for me, and everyone else on this planet.

And even the voice of an overweight democrat in Garth Brooks singing the song can make me realize that and appreciate the gift that I've been given.

Anger doesn't mean I'm not willing to forgive. Christ himself flipped some tables.

I’ve never considered Amazing Grace a true Christian song and don’t understand why so many churches do. It’s a hymn of hypocrisy- one written by a guy who made his fortune on the slave trade and then used Christianity to spread his apology song. Did he give his fortune away once he joined the abolitionist movement? I’m seriously asking because I’ve never seen anything to indicate that he gave any of that money away.

I teared up during the inauguration.
When Garth sang Amazing Grace. As a Christian that fell and was reborn again, I always tear up, or at least get misty eyed, when I hear the power in that song. It always speaks to me directly, regardless of the circumstances.

Amazing Grace is one of my favorite hymns......it's so strange hearing Garth sang this hymn at an inauguration for a candidate that stands with mudering the innocent, a candidate that assisted China's economic and military rise, a selected president that is the most NWO friendly candidate from the Dim primary.

Maybe Garth was singing Amazing Grace as an invitation for any Dim willing to listen, to repent of their ideology......or maybe Garth was just trying his best to be a hypocrite for singing such a beautiful hymn for the inauguration of a president that will do nothing to glorify our Lord God and Savior.

Amazing Grace...Who da thunk that would be sung? I also think it's another smack in the face to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Even blacks have sided with the Dem's and turned their backs on God in droves. You can't make it up, it's there in plain sight.

The 11% will be on "display" and 'used" like the little pawns they are for the Dem's missions forthcoming. The only thing you can't see is the white hand up black folks arse moving their lips for them.
