The Obamas are done with politics. Here is Michael Obama:

How can you say a "brokered convention" right now?
No guarantees, but here's the reasoning. This is not just mine; others are predicting a brokered convention.
At present, there are 20 super egos vying for the dem nomination. 9 of these have enough support to have already qualified for the next round of debates.
Couple this with every state wanting to hold their primaries earlier and earlier, so the primary election will not have been decided before they vote.
I'm not alone in expecting several of these super egos will end up at the convention with a substantial percentage of the delegates sworn to them on the first ballot.
Given the above, you still have some very valid points. Have an up-vote for now, and we'll see how things go.

The brokered convention savior candidate will be California Governor Gavin Newsome.
He has the bonafides, the dashing good looks and is a San Francisco loon.
He gets to find out from the free-for-all what policy proposals stick with electorate without the baggage of the fight. He is well respected across Dem circles, is a great fundraiser and has name recognition.
I would not be surprised one little bit if he came out of the convention as the nominee.

They may try to pull a fast one with Stacey Abrams though.
An unattractive overweight dyed in the wool Socialist who can’t get elected Governor. I’ll allow it.

A few months ago, some rumors had Abrams as Biden's possible VP, to broaden support for an "old white man" ticket.
I haven't heard anything about it recently. Do you have any later info?
I'm guessing this was an old guess, superseded by later guesses (Tulsi).

That will work as well. You can’t tell me independents won’t look at her and say, “That’s what’s next in line if Joe dies or gets 25th A’d.” (Both being distinct possibilities.)

Absolutely agree. That's my opinion as to why we haven't heard anything it in a fairly long time.
Joe's rumored running mate immediately after the last debate is/was Tulsi Gabbard. At the rate guesses are changing, this may no longer be the "best, latest guess".

Who? Oh, yeah. ‘Cause she’s so charismatic and middle of the road and all.
