Most people were already hiring @ 9.
Barely anyone makes the actual federal minimum wage. And its usually people who have never had a job before.

I guess my point is why would we expect anything other than a shite ton of people on government assistance when there are so many low wage workers?

I mean you are talking about 500,000 people.
Im not against helping people out in need.
But as far as medical care, our doctors and nurses are paid too much, and you shouldnt be getting pregnant if you dont have the means to raise a child, whether thats from your own support or support of family.
your life decisions shouldnt be a burden on others.
I smoked cigarettes for 14 years. I dont expect you to pay for my medical expenses that may arise from that.
