So, to save some folks who sit around and become obese and get diabetes or smoke and are now on vents they are going to cancel those who were being responsible for their health and who NEED rehab to get better. She is in tears because she was starting to get better and is now completely unable to exercise on her own for fear that she is not being monitored and is terrified to exert herself alone. How in the hell cab anybody justify this at OLOL? SAVE THIS CoRONA GROUP AND KILL THIS HEART SURGERY GROUP?
This whole Corona issue is so insane. We have less than 8k deaths in the US . How many people like her will die and not be counted as a victim of Corona?

You are a total fricking idiot TOOTS..she was throwing PAC's and PVC's on the treadmill with other arrythmias...if you don't know what that is Google it...they had to allow her progress based upon her EKG. She is scared to exercise alone. If you have no understanding of what you are spewing bullshite about don't type. This is a real medical ethics issue.

Put her in a nursing home
They are still accepting new residents & the physical therapists are so bored they are helping serve meals to the residents

That’s sarcasm, the CNA’s & kitchen staff quit showing up

She is 47..was a daily runner. Not Nursing Home material. Thanks for not quite understanding the ethical dilemma in all this.

Me heart attack too in 2020. 98% blocked on the widow maker . You take the pills. You make the lifestyle changes. All of my appointments have been postponed. I am doing self care. The medical facilities can worry about the serious people. I must cowboy up and handle my business.

Is it possible to have a therapist come in to the home? I don’t know, just wondering.

Sounds like she has a serious preexisting condition for which exposure to COVID-19 could be fatal. Justification enough for you?

Our nursing home is NOT ADMITTING. Not sure why as people still need care and yes I get the corona thing but people still need care.

and op she may be young but our and many nursing homes have a rehab section for those who need care and can’t go home. Not saying she needs to be there but it doesn’t have much to do with age. More diagnoses and medical needs.

That said see if she qualifies for home health therapy??

Perhaps home health can come and monitor..or cardiac doc can monitor remotely. I will suggest.

Thanks Boatshoes....the Lake is giving out home based therapies and calling once a week. There is a lot of anxiety among cardiac patients especially those like her who had no known health issues to worry about before the emergency. It just really blows my mind that they can't find a safe way to allow these patients therapy in person to keep them mentally and physically moving forward while the hospital saves others.

Doctors are bad people

Then they need to stop seeing patients during flu season....As of today, the Statewide flu numbers for illness and death for last year in Louisiana are MUCH worse than COVID.
