@butlersheriff
Our teachers start training Monday in firearms ccw. While our gov still debates what 2 do we will have trained over 100 school personnel by Saturday.

Demand is so high in one Ohio county for a free concealed weapon training class for teachers, sign-up was cut off at 300 and classes are scheduled to start Monday.

Everyone thinks of sweet Mrs Thompson who is 2 years from retirement. In reality, teachers come from all walks of life. Several of them can handle it.

Hooray. An actual solution to the problem instead of the liberal REEing to ban all guns.

It’s a double hit for the left because it actually does something to prevent future tragedies, and at the same time promotes private ownership of firearms.

100% correct. Its why you see the posters here and people in the msm fighting so over the top against even the thought of it. The last thing navy, a want, rex and asu want to see is a armed person in a school take down a killer. Extreme gun control would die right there.

It's nice that they are being offered the training, but this is only half the battle.
quote:
Teachers won't necessarily be able to bring guns into their classrooms once they complete the training.
Under Ohio's concealed carry law, school employees must leave their guns in their locked car when they're in a school safety zone, unless they have written permission from the school district to do otherwise.

So schools in blue districts will still be defenseless.

Probably most of them. Even in red districts, we have incompetence in the leadership.

Love it when our communities are proactive while they let the children (our government) dick around

Butler County, Ohio (North of Cincinnati for those that don't know) is a different world.
I fully expect them to allow this.
