Why don’t you grow tired of the “X is getting arrested” threads that pop up all the time even though nothing ever happens?
Those are far more tiring.

We've had 4+ years to drain the swamp. If it was going to happen, it would have by now. Prove us wrong.

Kay, I'm tired too... of nothing ever happening to corrupt politicians

Sorry. Couldn’t resist, but I agree with you.

How can they look stupid when they have been correct the entire time?
How can I be the stupid one of I have been right 100% of the time?

I get tired of all the “we got‘em this time” threads. Until something does, everyone who makes those threads will just continue to be chicken little, the boy who cries wolf, or my personal favorite, Charlie Brown.

An occasional hearing, with a strongly worded rebuttal. That's all that happens.
The Dems prosecute people.

I do agree with you Scruffy especially as it respects to the past.
But the wheel is clearly turning. We are living in a time where the foundational myth society builds itself on is being remade. The post ww2 epoch is over and something is rising to take its place, this is totally normal through history and happens in bigger or smaller degrees every 80-100 years.
I see this as a reason for hope, politicd and how we think about it and engage with it is about to radically shift for better or worse

The "nothing will ever happen guys" love to act like they’re simply stating facts, but repeating “nobody will be held accountable” isn’t analysis, it’s lazy. It’s safe. It’s cowardly and it enables the very corruption we all want to see end.
Probably because they are statistically correct more than they are wrong. Bottom line: the powerful very rarely are brought to justice because they are protected by powerful people. Sure, the wheels of justice turn slowly but they typically turn even slower for our elected representatives. For instance, it's quite obvious that there are politicians in Congress - chief among them Nancy Pelosi - who are guilty of insider trading. Nothing ever happens to them. There isn't even talk of an investigation by the SEC or the FBI into their practices.

Hell, Hillary should have been arrested for her actions regarding the server.
It is all a show, a play, a skit for us.
Congressional hearings are a sham to distract.
Closed door sessions are a waste of time.
Until someone actually goes to prison and we start holding people accountable, I will maintain my view of “nothing will ever happen”.

Maybe because it's because nothing ever happens.
Posted on 7/20/25 at 8:12 am to stout
All it would take for me to stop saying “Nothing will happen” is for one high profile name to be prosecuted, convicted, and sentenced for their crimes. Just one.
It hasn’t happened. I don’t believe it will.
Not for the Clinton politicides.
Not for the Russia hoax.
Not for COVID.
Not for the 1/6 setup and the people who were held.
Not for Biden’s influence peddling.
Not for cocaine in the White House.
Not for the people in Congress who are obscenely wealthy with no apparent source.
Not for the massive Ukraine kickback scheme that’s one source of Congressional wealth.
Not for the Biden dementia coverup or autopen scandal.
Not for the Trump assassination attempts.
Very well put.

You’re not clever or original for saying nothing will come of Obama spying on Trump’s campaign.
While true, I don't think anybody believes they're being original. And let me offer a corollary: you're not brave or dependable or faithful for posting "Hold!!" memes and actually believing that someone is a coward because they predict a different political outcome than you. It requires no bravery to defend your views on an anonymous message forum.

I 100% agree. It's not new, not clever and counterproductive.
I did it myself for awhile....I have decided that I want the highest , strictist accountability for all who participated, and that's what I will concentrate on from here out.

Well, so far nothing has ever happened, so I find it amusing.
