He looks ridiculous to serious people and the business community.
Again, I'm on board with tariffs. Bring back what we can to America. Make them pay.

Again, better deals I'm all for if that's the path you're set on. It's a path of free trade.10% isn't returning anything though.

I would rather depend on 100 countries for goods instead of one country for goods. You are too fricking dumb to see this is why he is doing this. He’s trying to crush China because they have basically destroyed the world.

My guess is Trump didn’t want the stock market to continue to fall when all of these countries were willing to negotiate. He will negotiate deals with the most important ones first in those 90 days and announce them. Any success here should mitigate negative reactions in the market if some other nations couldn’t come to a deal and some retaliatory tariffs are reimposed down the road.
Also if we get the more important nations like Japan, SK, Canada, EU nations to strike a deal while China plays hardball it isolates China and gives us even more leverage because then we could say to them “make a deal, or we decouple from you and deal with these other nations exclusively”
