Without reading the article, I assume that there making a point that since the Moors occupied the Iberian Peninsula for about 700 years - ending in 1492- that the Alamo is an example of Moorish architecture. While the Alamo was built in 1744, it does have some aspects of Moorish architecture, but it is more in-line with Spanish colonial architecture. The armies of "Catholic Monarchs" - Isabella and Ferdinand defeated the Moors in 1492 and kicked their asses out. Even in 1744 they were not about to build a new Catholic church with a primarily Moorish design.
