Who’s word is more official than the President’s word?

Trump randomly tweeted that he has been cleared, with zero support for the claim.

There is more support for his claim than support for "muh collusion".

You can't be cleared of a charge that was never handed down.

Doc....did you think Cohen flipped and gave the goods on Russia? Are you now satisfied that you will be forced to hope for campaign finance violations?

Can't speak for the rest of the msm but I am using the same unnamed sources they have the last three years to scoop the world that no collusion has been found and that the report while not saying it explicitly implies that DJT is perhaps the greatest POTUS of all time.

Just facts today.

I just haven't seen anything official come out and exonerate him yet, other than his own tweet.

Thats nice.

Exactly what evidence have you seen that has shown he is guilty of something? More specifically, what charge do you see evidence for?

This question should be answered by all card carrying anti-Trumpers on this board. I’m seriously curious.

This is so typical of a Trump supporter.

The OP did not ask anything about proof of guilt. Trump supporters are shouting from the rooftops and church steeples that Trump has been exonerated. OP simply asked about support for that claim.

The onus isn't on Trump to prove a negative.

If someone is investigated for years and you find no crime, it's because there isn't a crime.

Personally, I never thought that there WERE any “goods on Russia.”. There was enough smoke to justify taking a look, but I did not expect them to find any fire.

As I have said many times, the Trump Tower meeting proves nothing other than the fact that his staff (includung Junior) were utterly incompetent.

It’s simple. You can’t be exonerated unless you have been convicted of a crime. Trump hasn’t even been charged. Friday was the last hope of the resistance, no charges came. Trumps legal team combed through the docs and announced that he is clear from Russia Collusion.

quote:

Exoneration occurs when the conviction for a crime is reversed, either through demonstration of innocence, a flaw in the conviction, or otherwise. Attempts to exonerate convicts are particularly controversial in death penalty cases, especially where new evidence is put forth after the execution has taken place.

And I am not suggesting otherwise.

But Trump made an affirmative claim to the effect that he has been actually exonerated. He DOES have the burden of supporting an affirmative claim.

So meeting to get dirt on a political opponent is incompetent? Are you fricking serious.

Cleared of what? What's the accusation or charge?

Trump tweeted that he was cleared. He didn’t provide any more details. That’s all you need to know. Now go out and repeat it.

Add to it that this is a made up term that literally has no meaning and doesn't even exist.

That is the most-restrictive of several definitions of the term “exonerate.” The more common is
quote:

(especially of an official body) absolve (someone) from blame for a fault or wrongdoing, especially after due consideration of the case.
There need not be a prior conviction
