I agree that a Special Prosecutor SHOULD be appointed..TODAY.

But not for the reasons the Democrats want. There have been leaks coming from the intelligence community and from the government that are illegal. There is obviously an organized and SEDITIOUS campaign and conspiracy to bring down the duly elected Trump Administration.
These leaks are a direct threat to national security, and the campaign is a conspiracy to overthrow the government.
You want to send a cold chill up the spines of the leakers, the Democrats and the media? Not to mention the Left period? Trump should address the nation and announce the appointment of a Special Prosecutor, someone like a Trey Gowdy or a Ted Cruz, and empower them to go after these people. All hell would break loose, but it is time to fight fire with thermonuclear war. If you don't, the attacks will eventually bring this government down.

And if the investigation shows someone in the Trump campaign knew it was the Russians leaking the emails or even worse, coordinated to a certain degree, then what?

You are talking IF..I am talking known facts. There ARE leakers inside the givernment and the leaks by and large ARE illegal.

Hell no. The DOJ wouldn't allow once for the Benghazi case so this is certainly not justified.

The aim of the prosecutor would be to find and prosecute the leakers and conspirators. Not to investigate any Russian connections. The FBI is investigating that and so far we have ZERO evidence.

WE DO NOT KNOW of any evidence of collusion between Trump and any Russians, because there wasn't any. There has to be a crime for there to be a prosecution.
