I like how we have these snowflake threads almost daily bitching about there being some opposition in the echo chamber.
It's both comical and pathetic.

DB is not "simply a contrarian".
A good IRL friend of mine ended up being someone who was a well known massive troll on a 4chan board (/k/). I was surprised to find out this fairly normal guy shitposted, with impressive effect, on a message board.
When I inquired, he told me "I don't really have to think too hard to come up with good trolls. The best trolls are simply hyperbole of my own opinion".
That stuck with me. I believe DB believes most of the shite he says, although not to the extent he says it, if that makes sense.

And spot on with your read on trolling. I troll, but I never straight up post things I don't believe (unless I'm clearly joking). It's more a matter of how you frame things and present your piece. And it's by design. Iosh pointed out (as if it isn't perfectly obvious) that you get the same kind of response whether you shitpost or post in earnest if the opinion is unpopular. BuckeyeVol goes out of his way to be civil and straightforward...and it profits him nuffin.
