you study history, the reason given for dropping atom bombs on Japan was that an invasion of the Japanese homeland would be met with citizens fighting for it's defense, utilizing farm and garden implements. Now, compare that to the USA. Even the most liberal, panty waste people I know.....own guns.

Although I agree with the sentiment, the real reason was because we wanted to end it quickly before the Soviets got in the war against Japan. We wanted US influence in Japan, not Soviet influence. It was the start of the cold War.

By all accounts, there were estimates of 1 million casualties if we invaded Japan. We just took Okinawa, and that was a shite storm. I seriously doubt the USSR was the driving factor behind Truman giving to order to drop those bombs.

That being said, Patton was absolutely correct in wanting to take on the USSR after the Nazis were defeated. Eisenhower slowly come to realize that too, and probably why he famously warned against the influence of the MIC.

Maybe on one side, considering the idiots and morons running our government would kiss the arse of a Chelsea Manning or Bowe Bergdawl, and then kick out goddamn Navy Seals because they wouldn't take an experimental vaccine!

China has many underground cities to house a respectable % to restart their culture at some future point.

The Chinese are long range planners.

Nukes or asteroid does not phase them.

In order to guess how a war would turn out, we would need to understand what the objectives and goals are of both sides.

Why would China go to war with us? We're their customer.

It would look like heavily armed cartels rolling into our southern border, Trudeau and company assisting the Chinese in the north, and a depleted military having issues with defending the homeland. Countless “immigrants” will cause major trouble, the Chinese police (already here?) will sabotage pertinent infrastructure, and the Marxist known as BLM, coupled with the Antifa brethren, will attack the police en masse.

Combine all of that with a regime that can’t wait to surrender, and a SecDef that agrees with the ice cream eater, and I foresee a lot of baws being hunted down and placed in camps.

At least Hunter and the BIG GUY will be taken care of though.

We are also their competition.

If they beat us, then they will become our sole provider.

You are kidding right? They only allow one child per family BECAUSE THEY CAN'T FEED AN EVER EXPANDING POPULATION! Compared to ours, their military is a fricking joke! We could starve them easily to the point that civil unrest would do the job without a single American boot setting foot on the ground there. They are welding people into their own homes. Do you think the population there is all that passionate about defending their government?

Lol, instead of worrying about China (where America would easily win in a war scenario), America should be worrying about America.

America is at war with itself and instead everyone is worried about a war with China.

That worries me more than the fricking Chinese. COVID really opened my eyes to the extent people will succumb to fear.

U.S. navy blockades the strait of Malacca, severing China’s route for importing oil and gas from the middle east.

China launches airstrikes and missiles from its artificial islands in the spratlys to attack the fleet and reopen the strait.

China also blockades Taiwan to cut the U.S. off from semi-conductors.

The U.S. uses missiles or rods from god to destroy the Three Gorges Dam causing a massive humanitarian crisis within China and further exacerbating their rapidly growing energy crisis.

The U.S. also puts international pressure on Australia to stop selling coal to China.

Basically, China has to break the naval blockades on both fronts before it rapidly runs out of food and electricity.

Yeah if FDR would have listened to Churchill and Ike would have listened to Patton it would have saved a bunch of lives and a shitload of money.

No World Power could successfully launch an invasion of the continental United States. Our Navy could knock out any invasion force and can you imagine the civilian guns aimed at anyone that made it to a city or state off the coast? The only thing that scares me is nukes- Chinese leadership is not concerned with civilian deaths even in their own country, they could lose millions and could care less, they can be replaced.

I'd say it's already won. Have you all missed the reports of 90% of the country infected with "covid" and >25,000 per day dying?

The incinerators can't even keep up with the bodies.

There's a reason China has been shut off from the rest of the world for the past two years. I'm not sure what the Chinese were but they were horrible people. Do you really not catch on from Trump's constant comments regarding China? Our military already took them out. Read. The. Q. Posts.
