How much money is Ford making for coming forward?

And will she be taxed on it? And if not will the IRS flag her and audit her? Or is the money going to be laundered?

I think the way these things work is that the money is held until claimed, so if a tax exempt organization with legit expenses claims the funds and uses the funds in a charitable way, then not taxable.
Otherwise, it would probably be considered income for whoever claims it, offset by legit expenses.

These book deals are getting crazy, who is actually buying them?
I feel like these book deals are a way to pay people off and the book are being purchased in bulk by hidden money and just destroyed.
