I’m getting the impression that a lot of progressives oppose ME peace. With Iran being neutralized, those countries have an actual opportunity to change course and become a much better place.
I take the optimistic view on all of this. Of course it won’t be perfect. Nothing ever is.

They're addicted to oppression/struggle fantasies. They need a cause because without them they are morally vacant people.

Hamas is a bunch of warring factions normally.
From section 13 of the "20 point plan":
quote:
Hamas and other factions agree to not have any role in the governance of Gaza, directly, indirectly, or in any form.
This begs the question, who is left? Hamas is the only group mentioned specifically in the plan, but it is not the only terror faction within Gaza that fought for Gaza in this war.
That is a hell of a hornet's nest to sort out, and the US will be playing a direct role in forming the new governing body and ensuring security in any "terror-free" zones.

This is kind of what I’m talking about, if they don’t have a lot of outside support they’re alot like little gangs. The biggest problem for Gaza will be reverse engineering the culture of death and terrorism. If you get leftist in there to takeover the education system for example, nothing is gonna change.

Which is the reason for my issue with allowing the UN to continue leading the relief and recovery efforts without forcing it to denounce Hamas and recognize it as a terrorist organization.

And they won’t because secretly most of the UN is married to terrorism now. The left has fully embraced it and adopted their practices on some level.

You are correct but without spending a penny from the USA. I’ll say it again.. Trump, Rubio, Kushner and the other dude ( I can’t remember his name) have all said the rebuild will NOT cost USA a single penny. I’m sure since they have all said this you still don’t believe it. I guess they are all lying through their teeth

Itll be funded 100% by the US tax payers. Id guess 50 trillion should cover the 1st 48 months of planning

If the US contributes even a dime, there better be institutional protection of Christians in Gaza

I'm pretty sure I heard Trump say that the "super rich" Mid East countries were going to fund it.
With funds they receive from USAID.

If Trump is President, nothing, it will be done with private monies. Who knows what the next President will do?

It will be expensive. Anyone remember the $200mil modular pier that was built and decommissioned a week later?

Not something I'd hang my hat on.

If they want to build it back, let them do it on their own. They elected those pieces of shite into power. They have tons of rock there.
