Why is the media not talking about it?

If a cop shot them, then their lives would matter.

Because shootings are only newsworthy if the perpetrator is a white dude.

Because gang violence is sort of expected
Getting gunned down at a garlic festival, bar, wal mart, or anything like that at random is not expected.
You shouldn't have to have someone explain to you why one event is more newsworthy than another.

Because they only "report" what they want you to hear

So, certain lives only matter depending on the situation?

Discussing black on black crime is, as a matter of fact, inherently racist.

Seems to me dead is dead, expected or not. It all should be getting coverage

We expect poor blacks to be gang members and shoot other poor blacks who we also expect to be gang members. there lives just don't mean as much.

Random people being gunned down in Walmart is a big deal. It’s weird that people here want to downplay it or point at Chicago.

You should post this when the snack bar guys kill some people, too.

The media was waiting and drooling over a potential cop shooting in response to water dumps.
Posted on 8/5/19 at 4:09 pm to Seldom Seen
Because the media actually only cares when white people die. If it's just black on black crime they don't care..because they don't view those hood rats as valuable human beings.

When one party and the media consistently brings up the mass shootings statistics Baltimore, Chicago, Nola are lumped into that number so why avoid it? Why do both have to be mutually exclusive? Why does inner city shootings for the most part get buried.
Many posters on this board are using it to deflect but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t have honest dialogue and that dialogue starts with admitting the Dems have failed most districts in inner cities like Chicago, Baltimore, Detroit, LA, Nola etc.

So what you are saying are black lives don't mean as much to Dems as brown lives?
