I think this is theory #6, now.

Perhaps the most interesting and consistent argument from Maga is that when an outcome isn't preferable he is exposing something. I think I'll take better outcomes over exposing things.

The bond market, he had to cave to keep it afloat, and he may be too late. With a debt base system, you can’t lose the bonds, so he had to pivot. He wants rates down, ti finance the debt and his initiatives, but we are broke, so he’s cornered… but he had to save the bond market ( China was probably dumping behind the scenes to F’ck him and his plan)

Lol, I love it...He caved by putting a 10% tarrif on most of the world and paused for 90 days to negotiate further. In a few months the fed will start printing money again, which will cause inflation. They will tell you it's the tariffs that are causing the inflation and you will believe them. I'm sure you already fell for the "Inflation Reduction Act" that printed money we didnt have and caused more inflation. You guys crack me up.

can anyone question his intentions are America First?

I question it. He wants to be loved, more than anything. Fortunately, that aligns with American interests sometimes. But his constant misstatements about the tariffs ("other countries pay them", "reciprocal") and that stupid formula they used should be proof enough that he has a child's understanding of how these things work.

His approval rating is taking a serious hit this week, which will affect his feeling about how loved he is. I can't imagine it goes back up as US business pay tariffs, prices get passed on to consumers. The very likely outcome of this is he will declare victory and cancel most of the tariffs. He will say that his team has negotiated the fantastic deals, even if there are none, or only a few, he might get a few restrictions lifted here and there which will be all over conservative media as wins, but we'll be left with approximately the same trade regime we had before.

Many claim Trump caved. Many claim Trump was concerned about negative pubic opinion on a plunging stock market, many claim Trump was concerned about the bond market, etc.

All of this^^^^ could be true but something Trump's 90 day pause exposed was which countries are siding with the US/West and which countries are saddling up with the CCP.

I'm calling bs. Public opinion was not on his side. All the gains from exposing fraud waste and abuse were being over shadowed by the markets and tariffs. Nobody even talked about the jobs report... And it was good. Inflation going down... Crickets.
