How many people in Louisiana are on govt assistance?

You have 97 state gov workers per 10k residents.

For comparison, Florida has 56.

Persons in poverty, percent 18.6%
So, at least 866,756, but I would bet it’s considerably higher than that because you don’t have to be in poverty to get government assistance.
