Seriously doubt that will ever happen. While Abbott appears wishy washy at times, Paxton and Patrick are anything but. That would get ugly with a quickness.

I have to think there are quite a few patriots in the surrounding area who might take issue with any part of the capital of Texas being taken by these clowns

Yeah I’ve gotta hope “Don’t mess with Texas” would apply if this happened

I sure in the frick hope so.

My dad was an Aggie alum that lived Austin before he died. This was years ago ... but he hated the liberal scum back then.

There's a difference between Austin and the rest of Texas. And I hope the rest of Texas still respects Austin.

As long as TX has a red Governor that won’t fly. State would step in to keep that from happening

I would say yes ... but I do not live there anymore, nor do I know anyone that lives there now.

Austin “leadership” will allow it so whenever they want. I’m sure it’s probably been negotiated beforehand.

That theory would hold more water if the capital and governor weren't there too.

Every time I get hyped for something to happen in Texas, it never does. Lame.

My wife’s son lives in Austin, he is basically terrified his co-workers will find out he supports Trump, he sees little difference between the current state of Austin, and Portland or Seattle.

Not really surprised.

Austin has been the main blue oasis in a desert of red out there. To the point where those assholes firebombed the TX Governor’s mansion while Perry was in office IIRC.

I was in Austin for a week back in February. Stayed downtown off of Sixth st. Lots of homeless around. Also saw homeless cities under overpasses.
