How long before Austin TX has a Antifa Takeover downtown?

I'm thinking with the way the Marxists are trying to force a confrontation, this would be the ideal place - local liberal leadership allowing it combined with baws all around.

Remember the Alamo.

I have to think there are quite a few patriots in the surrounding area who might take issue with any part of the capital of Texas being taken by these clowns

Didn’t the Antifa movement in Austin get killed?

exactly why I think Austin is a prime target

lulz, they reload and push harder. That's the problem with the right. They fight battles. The left is fighting a war.

I don’t know what the future holds but most of the protests here have been quite small, with the exception of 3 or 4 days. I run in some pretty lefty circles here, and I don’t know anyone that’s Antifa wacky. There’s a surprising amount of folks on the right here too and it’s politically more diverse than you may think.

I don't think Abbott would put up with that.

At this point the liberals in Austin are the type content to have their views and just drink their soy lattes or banana and clove specialty beers. They are the liberals of 20-30 years ago who just want to be weird and left alone.
As more of the West Coast influence creeps in, that will probably change though.

Austin LIVES for this stuff.
It’s nothing new.
So probably not too long.

There is a point in this. It seems to me that conservatives will fight and argue over an issue for a few weeks at the most and then move on while liberals will fight over it for a hundred fricking years if necessary.
Like the old saying, politics to conservatives is sport, to libs it's war.

Except they tried to let the homeless squat everywhere, Abbott stopped that real quick on the state highways. They try going after a state or Federal building, they'll learn that this ain't Portland.

It's not as bad as the west coast, but it is pretty damn close right now. 7-10 years ago, Austin was a great place to be. The west coast invasion is taking effect. You can look on any Nextdoor feed in Austin and you will see lots of openly socialist and communist people.
There are still a lot more conservatives in the city and surrounding areas than most think though.

No he didn't. He had them cleared one time. Once. There are tents under every overpass right now, and lots of them.
