Starts at the bottom.
That's only partially correct. Each Battalion and above had a market analyst (S2) and an operations officer (S3) who deep dive into those.

Me either...I figure lots of people join for patriotic reasons after large events like 9/11, but otherwise it's for personal reasons.
I don't get all the downvotes.

I joined because I felt compelled to serve, but not out of loyalty to the government. Clinton was still president when I commissioned.

I wouldn't encourage my kids to join under any administration.
Never bought into military fetishism. It's a control tactic from the elite.
Have a bunch of military members from the US and Israel who served. They encouraged me to never join and i left Israel before it became an issue.

right?
flood?
I doubt you've even seen one in person.
where do you get off, making up such insanity?
where do you live?
answer truthfully. you never met one.
I live in very rural northern California. the volcano out my window has snow on it.
I have never met a trans person in this region.
I have never seen someone I thought might be.
how do you come up with a flood of trans people joining up?
be honest.
Relatively speaking, it will be. First the US military is or is about to be the most tranny friendly organization in the world. Not only will you be forced to tolerate and accept them, you will be ordered to embrace and champion them. That’s just how it works. If not, you’ll pretty much be driven from the service as I explained in another post. So, that’s going to be a big draw. Secondly, those operations and hormones are expensive. The Army will pay for them. You’ll get a sex change courtesy of Uncle Sam and the US tax payer. So, yeah, it’s going to be a relative flood compared to the rest of society.

That was one of my reasons as well; kind of a family tradition. But I was threated by my brother that if I joined the Marines, he would come home and kick my rear end. He was in Viet Nam when he gave that threat. I believed him. lol

You must have loved Trump’s military policies then, right?

My son graduates from high school in May and, confident that Trump would be President for another four years, was ready to join the NG and to have school paid for. Just a couple of days after the steal, he told me that he wasn’t going to serve under someone like Biden or Harris. I told him that’s fine by me. Now I’m more sure then ever he made the right choice.

You've never seen a trans person in all of Northern California? I'm not sure I believe that. I live in Collierville, TN, and I see them a good bit working in Memphis.

Giving up a great experience and free college is really going to show the administration.

Two things (I speak from experience):
1. Getting shot at is not a great experience.
2. They only pay a portion of your college, it ain't free.

There hasn't been an "otherwise" for 20 years, because we've been in constant conflict since then. Now I'd never argue that everybody or even most people who joined did so out of a sense of duty, but if he never met a single one then he was in a support function. If someone volunteered for combat arms in the last 20 years, what do you think their motivation was? You're not getting a job on the outside as a tank driver or an infantryman, so it wasn't for job training.

You still have to qualify for those benefits.
A Category 4 enlistment (failing score on the ASVAB but with line scores that allow for joining some career fields) is not going to result in being able to get college paid for.
I remember investigating an RI (Recruiting Impropriety) claim where an individual said he was told that his college would be paid for even though he was a CAT 4. His contract said nothing of the sort and both his recruiter and guidance counselor said it likely wouldn't happen. The only reason this became an investigation is that he complained to President Bush and was a minority. This guy was not what you would call a Rhodes Scholar.

Yea, we had a few of those (recruiting 90-93) Giving females physical's in the back of the recruiting office was frowned upon.
Who knew?

I’m sure ending up in Syria or Iran will just be a dandy-keen learning experience for all.
He was willing to take the chance under Trump. More likely we’ll end up in endless Mid East war with Biden/Harris.

I think I investigated 11 RI's over my 2 years in command and substantiated 6.

Where in there did he say his son was doing it to "show the administration"? That's shite the leftists do, some people have principles and maybe just don't want to serve under the Biden/Harris regime
