Cause, I mean, it's sort of obviously true.
How can you talk to me if I dismiss every idea you have as not being your own but merely things you say because you're a bigot, or Obamabot, or some other silliness?
The only way to converse is if the two parties assume that each of them honestly believe what they say they believe.
You can think their belief is idiotic, but, you can't even converse if you don't acknowledge it is genuinely held.
