It's really beyond embarassment at this point. But for a significant segment of the electorate what these looneytunes say really doesn't matter. They wouldn't accept the truth if it was staring them in the face, so corrupt are the institutions that we pay to guide them. I'm old enough to remember a time when politicians who peddle the crap these people espouse now were laughed out of town.

Times is changed for sure. I had a daughter enrolled in the local so-called "secular institution of higher learning". What a laugh. The crap your kids and mine are subjected to in these colleges is ridiculous. In terms of values and moral absolutes the culture has been turned upside down. For sure there are good professors and they do a wonderful job, but they're lost in the mix of corrupt assholes who couldn't touch their a-hole if they had too.

My oh my how far have we fallen.

people are acting like there will never be another recession. When the next one hits, the government won't be able to borrow any more money than it already is, and the fed's rate has no margin to stimulate investment. The fed will have to charge people to buy bonds. I don't like our chances for a quick recovery from the next recession, we're already running the economy like we're in recession.

a lot of people like what their retirement looks like.

They won't when we have to inflate our way out of the crippling debt.

Looks who is running against trump right now!

Not just that, but the only one running with a chance to beat Trump isn't woke enough for the ones that run the nomination. They're going to woke themselves right to sleep.

Like I said, at this point in his presidency Bush's approval rating was still higher than Trump's has ever been, and by the end of his final term, no one was willing to own Bush. There's plenty of time for people to disown Trump and talk about what a mistake he was - just like they did with Bush at the end of his second term. People have such short memories.

With what alternative? Manbearpig? Seriously?

Maybe one of:

Orin Hatch
Or even Pat Buchanan or Herman Cain.

The most positive thing to come of it was the Democrats miscalculating how their massive voter fraud in Florida would be seen for what it is, setting them back two decades since everyone learned their entire election strategy, which in turn forced them to shift toward importing illegal voters en masse, which in turn led to the modern era’s GOAT being elected and sabotaging their fraud strategy. Now they have to shift to technological election fraud, which can be very easily exposed by any competent computer forensic analyst.

Oh, I see, you think only one side plays dirty pool.

In the big picture, a lot of good actually came from an election between the giant douche and the turd sandwich. Had that fraud never been exposed, today’s American flag would feature a hammer and sickle instead of Stars and Stripes.

Now you're just signing on to the hysteria angle.

At this point in his presidency Bush was still rising the 9/11 wave and we just cane off a swift arse kicking of the formal Iraq military. The economy was still pretty good and the true depths of the Patriot Act hadn’t been revealed.

If trump gets us into a vengeance war like bush did with Iraq that turns into a quagmire and we have another housing bubble bust like we did in 07, you’re absolutely right.

I sincerely believe that the Democratic party has all but abandoned the 2020 election and are doing just that. There is an internal civil war going on and all this impeachment Russia/Ukraine nonsense is just a smoke show to keep the spot light off of their internal power struggle.

There is no other explanation for how painfully horrible their entire field is. This is looking like another Michael Dukakis moment for them.

We were pretty pathetic in 2012.

Imagine if Hillary tried a little harder and won a few states that she should never have lost.

Who do the GOP have running for the nomination right now?Anyone inspiring? I can't think of anyone.

Heck, I can't think of any bright names for 2024 at the moment.

Possible with Iran.

We currently don't have the capability to counter a recession. How much can the US borrow to stimulate the economy out of a recession? How low can the Fed drop the rate from where it currently is to stimulate investment?

There's no one at the wheel of the monetary policy ship. As a matter of fact, there is very little policy at all in this administration.

Cruz
Paul
DiSantis (Florida governor)
Possibly Gaetz

Those are all names that will vie for it. If I had to make a guess, Cruz would be the frontrunner in that pack.

As embarrassing as it was it is even more embarrassing to be the type of person who would vote for them. Democrat voters must seriously be insane

Slightly less embarrassing than the Iowa Caucus.

has anyone mentioned that the fiasco that took place during the Iowa Caucus may have been a testbed for the general election?

what if this was conceived by these Dems/Liberals/Commie bastards to work toward their goal of eliminating the Electoral College?

i don't trust these liberal POS people for a second.
look at the Bernie/Hillary battle last year.
stole it from Bernie right out in the open and the fake news and DNC were caught red handed but the Justice Department found what?
WHAT? FBI what?

media? there is nothing to see here.

You are correct here. We can’t borrow any more and with rates already this low, lowering them won’t help.

Now you’re just being insulting. The plans have always been to cut spending while so cutting taxes. The taxes part happened and ironically taxes back into the treasury have never been higher.

Both establishment republicans and democrats fought the spending cuts and that’s why we are in trouble.

You keep saying we won’t recover from a recession, and I agree it will be very hard, but my question is what bubble are you seeing that economists aren’t?

And so far trump has been remarkably restrained in terms of military foreign policy. He’s actually done less than the previous president
