Think more like England. Just a slow decline to irrelevant

I think there is almost no chance the United States of America remains a 50 state republic for another 50 years.
When the Boomers begin to retire in large numbers they’ll bankrupt every system in his country from social security to Medicare and it’ll have a trickle explosive effect that compounds the problems we face with an already shrinking labor force, dwindling manufacturing capabilities, and literally incomprehensible national debt. Add to that the hyper division in politics caused by the media and the destruction of our education system and trade careers and there is virtually no way we aren’t a bloated corpse that simply hasn’t exploded yet.

But the desire to inject trillions into the system indicates to me that without it, bad stuff will happen immediately.
Maybe but also maybe the hope is the extra trillions will trigger hyperinflation which would also leads to economic collapse. Either way not good.

Thought it would be another generation or two. But as we’ve seen, everything happens more suddenly then anyone would guess. That’s humanity’s for ya.

The decline of Ancient Rome and the current USA is eerily similar.
Reason #1: Economics
Rome’s victories and capture of slaves brought too much wealth to the upper classes and hurt the lower classes as the huge influx of slaves took work from the plebeians.
The USA is currently seeing a huge influx of immigration while major corporations and billionaires line their pockets.
Reason #2: Corrupt Officials
Rich people bough votes and gave favors to friends. Bribery and corruption were rampant and led commoners to distrust the senate.
Literally what is happening now in the USA.
Reason #3: Crime and Private Armies
With no police force, crime was out of control in Rome and people feared for their safety. The wealthy could afford to hire their own private security details. In some cases, these grew large and these armies were loyal to a private citizen, not the Roman government.
Think about all of the lawlessness last summer. Police turning a blind eye or being told not to fight back because higher ups were bought and paid for.
Reason #4: Caesar’s Dictatorship
Julius Caesar was immensely popular after his victories in Gaul while the senate was unpopular. This allowed him to become dictator after his war with Pompey. Once Rome had a dictator, it was hard to go back to a republic.
*President Biden is most popular president ever. A record number of executive orders given.
The parallels between Ancient Rome and now are very telling. I still love this country.

Thanks for the effort of putting this list together.
You’re right that like minded people need to band together, but I think it will happen post collapse out of undeniable necessity and not before.

We’ve already collapsed. The better question is,” how long can the government keep printing money before their Ponzi scheme crashes!

Locally, the woke dems want it to happen so they can use it to redistribute all wealth and land to more deserving minorities
Agree with 1 huge caveat, they want the riches for themselves first and foremost. Yeah, a few crumbs will get to the useful idiots to buy their vote. The real crime is as bad as we know it is now with the corruption from Government to the politicians and celebrities so called foundations, if that NWO version of the reset wins, it will be tenfold worse than now. Who will stop them at that point?

Could be decades, could be years, could be days. Anything is possible right now.

When we start running out of gasoline things will start eroding rapidly... also if a police strike ever happens.

Would we really even be contemplating this answer had the real winner been put into office? There’s no way.

Myself and the wife are “Boomers”, I can guarantee we’ve paid more in federal taxes than we’ll ever receive in Society Security and Medicare.

quote:If we collapse, it will be from within. Printing currency like there is no end, coupled with paying people to not work, or pay rent. Inflation is going up at massive clip, all the while employers cannot find people to hire. Foreign governments can take over this country without firing a shot.
Luckily - we have more weapons than anyone else. That is the only thing that will keep this country afloat. But we need a leader willing to use them.

Close enough that food and ammo will be more important than zeros in the bank account

Close enough to have the conversation. Not close enough to do anything with the knowledge.

I like to think real Americans would band together and revolt before anything that bad got along.
"Do what you are told, or else!" Not many will choose "else", and those that do will be too few to make a difference.

I used to laugh at Doomsday bunkers and people hoarding up supplies, then a little virus showed me how much chaos it can cause.
Throw in the current and almost complete 360 the U.S. has undergone culturally, socially and politically, and I honestly think that I will owe the people claiming there will be a civil war an apology for scoffing at them.
It looks like we are bending to our limit. Honestly, it's something to really pray for because only God can change this and the hearts of the wicked people driving this madness.
